B 36 D & F Load Adjuster
B 36 Load adjuster. Includes a large bomb bay. This was the successor strategic bomber for the US prior to the B-47, then the B-52. it is essentially a scaled up B-29 aircraft with more power.
Most were flown for longer than such retired aircraft as the B-47 which were retired when found to be not up to the task, as RB-36's.
My cousin Doyle Sharp served his Air Force time mostly as a member of an crewman and flew a lot from Offutt AFB at Omaha, Nb
